The story behind the street log

Every city has pipes. Ours have a logbook.

Aliso Viejo Plumbing Pros was started by Matt Torres, a South Orange County plumber who noticed something about this city that the big regional outfits never slowed down long enough to see.

The same house, over and over

Matt spent his early years in the trade riding in other companies' trucks, running slab leak and repipe calls from Fullerton down to San Clemente. Every day was a different city, a different era of construction, a different guess.

Except in Aliso Viejo. Here, the calls started to rhyme. A pinhole leak in a hot line under a kitchen floor in one community would be followed, months later, by the same leak, in the same line, under the same kitchen floor, three streets over. Not a coincidence: whole neighborhoods here were built in the same handful of years, from the same plans, with the same copper, by the same crews. This city is one construction story told a few thousand times.

Most plumbers treat every house as a stranger. Matt realized that in a master‑planned city, no house is a stranger. If you pay attention, the last hundred jobs tell you what is under the next floor before you lift a tile.

So he started writing it down

That is the whole founding idea of Aliso Viejo Plumbing Pros: work one city deeply instead of six counties thinly, and log every job by community and floor plan. Which line failed. Where it ran. What fixed it, and what it cost. We call it the street log, and it grows with every visit to Glenwood, Laguna Audubon, Vantis, Ventana Ridge, Quail Creek, Montelena, Calabria, Alicante, and Canyon Villas.

The log is why our leak searches start narrow instead of wide, why our estimates hold up, and why a repipe quote here comes with fewer surprises. It is also why we stay this local. A logbook about Aliso Viejo is only useful if you are in Aliso Viejo.

How we run the company

  • Upfront pricing. You approve a written price before work starts. The number does not drift.
  • Free estimates. Looking at a problem and telling you the honest options costs nothing.
  • Answered around the clock. Water does not keep office hours, so the phone does not either.
  • Insured. The company and the work it does in your home are covered.
  • Made right, always. If something about our work is not right, we come back and make it right.
  • HOA fluent. Much of this city shares walls and shut‑offs. We coordinate with management companies and follow community rules without being asked twice.

Where you will find us
